Savings with the use of taps to save water and energy

We calculate how much you can save with the taps Argo in water and energy savings.
The counts are made assuming the use of a mixer for 10 seconds 10 times a day , whereas each time a normal tap (non Argo ! ) Is opened, it is wasted 4 seconds of time unburnt boiler.
The water draw average at 3 bar is about 12 liters per minute in a normal tap.
In the course of the following 10 seconds of use we will do three separate counts . One for 4 seconds where we count the time unburnt of the boiler , the second for 10 seconds, the actual cost of boiler’s operating , the third for the saving of water using only 6 liters per minute instead of 12.
As sample data we have used data from the city of Alba (CN ).

* Boiler in operation 28 Kw with a consumption of 3.52 m3 / h
* Cost of electricity is not calculated
* Water cost per m3 € 1.37 ( source Aqueduct Bassa Langa di Alba )
* Water pressure 3 bar

Saving example:

1) Counting for 4 seconds unburnt:
(4 seconds X 10 times a day) = 40 seconds X 365 days = 14.600 seconds – (14.600 divided by 60 seconds) = 243.33 minutes (243.33 divided by 60) = 4,06 hours – (4,06 hours X 3,52 m3/h.) = 14,29 m3 of gas – – (14,29 m3 gas X 0,435) = 6,22 euro per year

2) Count of 10 seconds operating the boiler :
(10 seconds X 10 times a day) = 100 seconds X 365 days = 36.500 seconds
( 36.500 divided by 60 seconds) = 608,33 minutes (608,33 divided by 60) = 10,14 hours
( 10,14 hours X 3,52 m3/h.) = 35,69 m3/h. of gas
(35,69 m3/h. gas X 0,435) = 15,53 euro per year

3) Counting the saving of water in 10 seconds of opening at 6 liters per minute instead of 12 :
(10 seconds X 10 times a day) = 100 seconds X 365 days = 36.500 seconds
(36.500 divided by 60 seconds) = 608,33 minutes (608,33 divided by 60) = 10,14 hours
(6 liters per minute X 60) = 360 liters per hours (360 X10,14 hours) = 3650,40 liters per year
(3650,40 liters divided by 1000) = 3,65 m3 X 1,37 € = 5 euro per year

A) In addition to what was said before it is added to the count for the normal use of tap water for 5 and 10 minutes per day.
cost per minute: the saving is of 6 liters of water with a cost of 1,37 euro per m3 =
(1,37 : 1000 = 0,0014 per liter) if we do 0,0014 € X 6 liters = 0,0084 per minute.
Cost of 5 minutes a day = 0,0084 X 5 = 0,0420 € for one year 0,0420 X 365 = 15,33 € per year
Cost of 10 minutes a day = 0,0084 X 10 = 0,084 € for one year 0,084 X 365 = 30,66 € per year

Total annual savings = 6,22 + 15,53 + 5 + 15,33 (30,66)= 42,08 (57,41) euro per year
Considering the average life of a tap you get to save up to : 42,08 (57,41) X 5 = 210,40 (287,05) euro
